Speaker 1:

Oh yeah, oh yeah. We are back with another episode of the group chat and I am your host, b-scar aka B, with my guy as I throw him in the alley-oop it's your boy.

Speaker 2:

Deej man. What's up, man? It's been a minute. How are you man?

Speaker 1:

I'm good man. I'm good Like I was telling you earlier. Dog, I like you in the dewey for the show man.

Speaker 2:

It's a good luck for you. It ain't all bad under here, but it's. You know what I'm saying. It's under wraps. I'm in construction right now. I've been in training the training room the last couple weeks, so I'm just trying to make sure I'm back right before I get out there, man. So you know, I ain't got the hair ain't done up until you know it's time to come out the bag. You got to go in the lab. You know what I'm saying? Real quick.

Speaker 1:

Incubate a little bit. What's the go-to style for the do-rag? How do you like to tie it? I'm more of a like.

Speaker 2:

I roll mine up in the back, you, I roll mine up in the back. You know I'm going to round back around and then I roll it up in the back. Let the edges hang out in the back. You know what I'm saying.

Speaker 1:

Let it look how often do you go straight Batman cape and just let it, just let the back just hang out.

Speaker 2:

Man, I don't know that I do that much anymore. Honestly, that might be like, really, when I'm really for real about to lay down back, just hang out, man. I don't, I don't know, I don't do that much anymore, I'm just like I. That might be like, uh, really, when I'm really for real about to lay down, like I'm just gonna lay down from the back when I gotta lay my head on the pillow you know what I'm saying. Just keep it, keep it light, man. That way you know my, my shit ain't out in the back splitting this stuff. You know what I'm saying.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, yeah yeah, when it's really time to lay it down. So you know it's been a while since I've rocked the Dewey, but back in the day when I used to have the waves or I had my braids or I had my little twisty dreads, my go-to look was the knot Tie the cape in the knot and have the little ball back there. Yeah, that was my go-to man.

Speaker 2:

Okay, my homeboy still to this day, wear his on the side Like he's a side guy. His bow is over here. He just vibes out like that all the time. I'll be like bro and he wear the cape down. He wear the cape all the way down with the bow over here. Wow, the cape all the way down.

Speaker 1:

We had two side bows. He rock it. That's how he rocked it, man, that's next level. It takes utmost confidence to put the bow on the side, for sure.

Speaker 2:

For sure, next level, that's it takes. It takes utmost confidence to put the ball on the side, for sure, for sure. All he missing is a flip phone, for real, and he would look just like a 2002 music video. But nah, it's. It's been good over this way, man. How you been, how you been, you been good I'm good, brother.

Speaker 1:

I was, uh, I was in miami for art basel since we last talked. That was cool. That's my fourth, third or fourth Art Basel 21, 22, 23, yeah, fourth in a row, so my fourth anniversary of Art Basel going back to Miami and it was a vibe. There's a cool community of artists and collectors and curators and just like a really creative group of people that go out there and so it's cool to be there and then start to see some familiar faces. And, um, so, one of my, one of my guys, a good friend, who's also an artist. His name is derrick adams.

Speaker 1:

This dude, derrick, throws the best basel parties and this year's party he had, uh, he had some performances, which this is the first time I've seen performances at the party, because he did, uh, it was a collaboration with google, so google was like the brand sponsor, so she, you know, they had that budget, they had some budget, so they threw that bag google shopping through that bag, uh. So he had tiara whack, who was cool. She's like an up-and-coming, emerging, emerging artist. She has an interesting sound that's like between r&b and hip-hop. She's hip-hop but like just an interesting sound. She was cool. But then he had En Vogue Okay, en Vogue. Are you familiar with En Vogue? I am not familiar with En Vogue, but I'm interested because you know about the night Bro.

Speaker 2:

yes, you are.

Speaker 1:

Bro, yes, you are, you know En Vogue. Explain something to me, you know.

Speaker 2:

I'm not as hip as I used to be, so what I used to be? Free your mind, release your sorrows, get kind of blind. Don't be so hard on them, I'm sure it sounds better when they're singing it. I've never heard their songs. I'll have to go listen though.

Speaker 1:

I'm going to send Invoke to you in our text message because it's actually crazy that you don't know these songs that I'm trying to sing to you. Maybe I'm doing a bad job. When you listen you'll know. But anyways, more of the story is Party was cracking, en Vogue was incredible. Yeah, my end was cool man. That's the update on my end.

Speaker 2:

How many people was in that group? Was it one person? En Vogue was one person.

Speaker 1:

No, so there was three women were performing and I'm not familiar enough with En Vogue to know each of their names, but I think there used to be four, and then I'm not sure what happened to the fourth, and I don't know if the three that performed are like the original group. I think at least two of them are, but maybe I'm not sure about the third.

Speaker 2:

Okay, I'll have to listen, bro, give them a listen. Man, I'm sure, shoot, they were the main event at a Google party. I'm sure they was cracking a little bit and you said my man said it was the best party. So shout out to you, I'm glad it was a good time. Man, I see I've always wanted to go to the castle man. I haven't gotten the chance to yet. I've always heard good things. That's something I look forward to in my next phase of life being able to go to and get down. I enjoy some art.

Speaker 1:

You see your boy back there.

Speaker 2:

I'd be willing to go down and see just what's going on? I see it, hail Mary. Hail Mary, my dog Tupac always watching.

Speaker 1:

So what's up, man? Give me an update. It's been a minute since we spoke. I mean last time was pre-Thanksgiving. There's been a lot going on. You guys had that Thanksgiving Day victory. You had a big old turkey leg. A game ball was given to you. There's been a lot. What's up, man?

Speaker 2:

Life's been good, man. Oh shoot, thanksgiving. Got to play on Thanksgiving First time Showed up. The boys showed out. We had a great game. Got a dub on Thanksgiving. Your boy had two sacks QB hit. It was a good day. Good day Thanksgiving in front of my son man. That was real, real cool.

Speaker 2:

Then, you know, got to do the interview in the stadium after the game. That was real fly. It was the first time I've ever done that, so that was a real cool experience. You know what I'm saying, but it was just talk to the crowd freshly after the game. Then got to eat the turkey leg on Thanksgiving. My dog, your guy JG man, handed me the turkey leg. Yeah, he ripped that turkey leg up and just gave it to me. I was like you know what, it's what we're doing, man. So you know something you think about. You know it's such a cool moment because you see it all the time as, like a kid, you grow up watching people eat a Thanksgiving turkey on Thanksgiving. They want to win that game and we had a 12 o'clock game, bro. Like you know, we still got Thanksgiving after. Some people might have ate some Thanksgiving food, but we really got Thanksgiving after. It was a fire to head into Thanksgiving dinner watching the rest of the games, knowing that you had already taken care of it. Got the job done.

Speaker 2:

You don't got to deal with no awkward family members asking what happened. Man, shut up, man. You hate that. You hate those questions and people like this. It was good, we've just been up, man. You hate that. You hate those questions and people like this, it was good. And then you know, we've just been rolling, man, we've just been rolling and we what? 12-1?.

Speaker 1:

That's huge man, that's huge. You had so two sacks. What's the sack count up to now for you?

Speaker 2:

Career high. Three this year, man, a career high, let's go come on. Yes, sir, hit one of the bonuses on the incentives. You know what I'm saying? One of the incentive bonuses at three. I'm trying to get a couple more, though trying to keep going. Call me Deez the pass rusher next. Ha ha ha ha, come on, but I was out last week. Ha ha, ha, ha ha, come on. Ha ha, ha, ha ha, but I was out last week. I was in the midst of getting those two sacks. I injured my shoulder. But you know I'm going to be back. I'm back soon.

Speaker 1:

You're no stranger to a comeback. Nothing that we can't handle.

Speaker 2:

Always, man. You just got to have that Wolverine blood. That's what I be telling them. You got to have that Wolverine blood in there, man Bro.

Speaker 1:

Speaking of a comeback, speaking of a comeback old Clemson Tigers, ah, ah, they've come back. They snuck their way in to the college football playoff bracket. There is no sneak as the 12th. We just there. Man as the 12th seed, we just.

Speaker 2:

I'll tell you all the time.

Speaker 1:

How do you feel about how these brackets have played out? You feel about how these, how these brackets have have played out and, uh, match anybody in there who you feel doesn't deserve to be. I know you've had a lot to say about the college football playoff brackets and how much the middle of the season matters, and now we're here.

Speaker 2:

Now what you think I think they got it right I think for once they got it right, man, they got it right. I think for once they got it right, man, they got it right. I don't know about the seeding If I would have done the seeding as right, as I mean that way. I know we have someone who's associated with this show. She does not believe that Boise should be ranked number three, but to that point I'll argue that Boise lost to the number one team in the country by three points and since then have just been stomping on shit all the way around. So I mean I can't be mad with them being at three, you know, other than that, I felt like they got it right, man. I feel like he was supposed to be in. Then maybe I mean you can argue for some other teams, but I feel like you got all conference champions. And then you know the other teams who you knew were going to be ranked at the top I'm happy to see oregon at at the one seed and obviously we went on.

Speaker 1:

You can see how I'm saying we it's, it's fucked up because it's because, you know, I'm representing the pac-12, I'm representing, representing the pacific northwest, but to see oregon at number one, having the undefeated season. I went to a game after thanksgiving these. It was cracking bro. My bet, I mean otten was absolutely rocked was cracking bro. My bet, I mean otten was absolutely rock and I was, uh, I was down, I was on the sideline in pre-game.

Speaker 1:

It gave me flashbacks back to high school. You know we used to pull up as a high schooler, pull up to the college games, be on the sideline for an official or official visit. Yeah, man, it was. It was a cool experience, my first time being being down in Eugene, oregon, since college. I played there when I was at Cal. We played there in my freshman year and also, I mean it was rocking then rocking. Then too, we got the brakes beat off of us. So this was a much more pleasant experience this time around. But yeah, man, I'm happy to see those Oregon Ducks. I'm not going to lie, man, I know, bro?

Speaker 2:

I mean they're blowing the playoffs. Let's just make that clear. It's going to get blown, but they, they're going to blow it.

Speaker 1:

You think they're going to blow it.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, they'll blow it, bro, They'll blow it. They deserve to blow it? No, I don't think they deserve to blow it. What?

Speaker 1:

do you mean they deserve to blow it though?

Speaker 2:

The Alabama. I know you don't got Alabama, you got Georgia in there, you got Texas, and it's just a bunch of teams, man, ohio State, you got to beat them again if you want to win. I just don't think that they can win this route. I just All the teams, if they got to play I mean to win it they got to beat either one of the teams that they've already beaten, which is tough. You don't have those teams feel about you, they resent you, or I don't know that Georgia makes it because of quarterback situation. I think that kid's arm might really be hurting other kids. Obviously I don't know what's going on.

Speaker 2:

If Clemson can beat Texas, I do think Clemson what's the name? Oregon is a good game if they make it to the championship type. But I honestly think if Texas, if Clemson doesn't beat Texas, if Texas makes the championship, they're going to landslide Oregon. Honestly, if they make it in this Texas-Oregon, they're going to. I would only say it would be close in the Clemson game because we're young, we're young, we're very, very young as a team. Right, I don't think Texas is as good as they got.

Speaker 1:

Bro, can we just put this out here, how crazy it is to be looking at this bracket and how many teams are in this break. We got a 12 team college football playoff, bro and bro, where we were in when we were in high school, we were in college, bro, like it was not a thing. This it was just bowl games. It was no playoff about college football. There was no way to crown a champion back in that day. I guess you have the National Championship Bowl. But now to have this playoff record, bro, times have really changed fast. I don't know. For me it just seems like it's just naturally happening and I'm not really paying attention to it just seems like it's like just naturally happening and I'm not really paying attention to. Like yo, this is like not a stark difference than college football 10 years ago.

Speaker 2:

I mean it's, it's interesting, honestly, you got and then it's just funny, the schools that are in there, like you look at it, like clemson's in there with three loss but we won the ACC championship. So, whatever, you got SMU, indiana. When's the last time Indiana's been good at freaking football? Indiana, right, right, indiana. And Tennessee's back, baby Tennessee's back. Everybody loves the Vols. The Vols are a great school man. Vols are back. Asu, freaking Arizona State. They haven't been good at football in forever. I don't know not one time where I've looked up and been like, oh yeah, I still don't think they're good. They have to show me in the playoffs. I don't think they're good. I think Arizona State as soon as they get played first game, they play out of there. But who you got winning this thing? Who you got winning it? I got Oregon, man.

Speaker 2:

I'm going Oregon. It's the easy route.

Speaker 1:

I'm rocking with the hometown Hometown team.

Speaker 2:

I'm looking at my teams and my routes to the bowl.

Speaker 1:

You probably like Georgia.

Speaker 2:

The only reason I don't like Georgia is because I don't believe in Georgia's side of the bracket.

Speaker 1:

It's smoother.

Speaker 2:

I don't believe in Georgia's quarterbacks. That's the only reason I don't. I got to rock with. If Clemson can't win it, clemson will lose to Texas. I got to go with Texas. I'm going to go with Texas. I'm gonna go with Texas. I don't really even want to go with Texas, for real. Give me Tennessee.

Speaker 1:

You're not going to pull for Clemson, bro, I'm not going to pull for Clemson.

Speaker 2:

I'm being honest here. I know it's going to be tough Clemson. I think we have a great team. We made the playoffs. Obviously we're an amazing team. Define all odds. So you think they're going to win. Right, we have a young team. I think we're going to go in there and it's going to be a good game. I think it's going to be a good game. I can't tell you, and you're going to win the championship, aren't?

Speaker 2:

you, I can't tell you with all my confidence that we're going to win the championship. Guys, I know that we're going to play. It's going to be really good. It's going to be a Hell B. You asked me Our best two receivers are freshmen. Dog, I can't just like it's asking me, it's asking the world of me to ask them two kids to go into Austin and go freaking crazy. But you know, K's from Austin and he coming home baby. So you know what? Give me the Tigers. Man Tigers going to win. Man Tigers going to win. He done beat Quinn twice before in high school. He done beat Quinn twice before in high school.

Speaker 1:

He done beat him twice. Huh, maybe Quinn looking for his revenge this time? I don't think it's too much to ask for you to have some belief and confidence in your alma mater. I actually don't think that it's too much to ask of you, man.

Speaker 2:

I have belief and confidence in him. I know that you're going to Like if this was a neutral site. You know how I feel. I'm all bro. You can't. You know how it is during bowl, like you know how it is, you've been in the league.

Speaker 2:

I had to explain to my mom, asked me this today she's like some of the people from Clemson are saying that Texas aren't releasing tickets so they can't get them, so they won't be able to travel. Well, I said Mom. I said you've been going to college games with me since I was 18 years old. Where are the way tickets always at for the family In the freaking nosebleeds. I was like they don't care about getting y'all no tickets, they care about getting them tickets so that they got advantage. That's what they care about. I said what are people? There's a lot of people right now. What? That's what they care about. I said what are people? What's wrong with people right now? What are they thinking in their head? That's not what it's for. It's for them to keep advantage. That's what you get home field advantage for, so that you can keep it. And I completely understand. It makes her drug to me and I was like she's like. I just feel like that's unfair. I was like well, felicia, that's what it is, mama, I'm sorry like it.

Speaker 1:

So if they're doing that, you can pay a bag if you want to. If you want to pay a bag, you can get some nice tickets at Texas if you want to throw that bag down, but if you're not, they'll hook you up with a seat those tickets are already sold to their fans.

Speaker 1:

Yeah right yeah, unless you're trying to pay. Sold to their fans, yeah right, unless you're trying to pay, you know, shoot. I mean, what do you think a good ticket's going for at the stadium for that game? We're probably looking at what $2,500, at least $3,000?.

Speaker 2:

If I'm truly a fan. All I'm saying is I'm going to draw the price up as much as I want to to really lock their ass out. I don't want the beer, we don't want the beer. I don't know what the price is going to be, but you can pretty much do whatever you want. If you're a true fan, you can draw that price wherever you want it to freaking go, man.

Speaker 1:

Let's get to the pick-em. You're up three points, unfortunately, of course You're up three points, but that's okay, because this last season, if anyone remembers, we had a game that we played it was Guess the television network anthem. And I got the television network anthem and I got all of them right and dj got all of them wrong. Actually had no idea any of the anthems, he's just been busy playing playing in the games, not watching them. So then, for these bowl games, I feel like this is very much, you know, it's pretty, pretty similar. You know, this is like what the game is is to guess whether the name of the bowl game is real or if it's fake. And this is the opportunity for me to regain the lead.

Speaker 2:

I don't know that you got all the networks. Are you ready? I don't know that you got everyone right, but we'll go with that. But I'm not sure that you got every single one right. I noticed you did get some right. I don't know about any, but every one's a stretch.

Speaker 1:

We can pull up the tape. Man, we can pull up the tape. That's the beautiful thing about a podcast. You know, we got records, okay.

Speaker 2:

We got receipts, we do. We got receipts, it's on wax. Okay, we got receipts, we do. We got receipts, it's on wax.

Speaker 1:

Scooters coffee, frisco Bowl.

Speaker 2:

Real or fake, I'm going to go. Scooters coffee, Frisco Bowl.

Speaker 1:

I'm going to go with. Yes, I think that's a real game as well. Game above sports bowl. No, I think that is a fake game. Rate bowl. I think that's a real bowl. That's a real bowl.

Speaker 2:

I think great bowl real. I've heard that one then I've almost thought it was loud baby back bowl presented by chilies.

Speaker 1:

Why are we talking about chilies? Aren't you a big fan of Chili's? Yeah, or is that another cheap dining place? I thought the Outback had the Baby Back Bowl, but the Baby Back. Why Chili's Baby Back Bowl? I say that's I'm going to say fake, because I feel like Chili's isn't famous for Baby Back. Nah, man, I'm going to go real. I feel like they do. Like jalapeno cheese poppers Real, okay. Wasabi Fenway Bowl. I say that that is real. The Wasabi what so? Wasabi Fenway Bowl. The Wasabi Fenway Bowl is real. Yeah, I said it was real too. Yeah, snoop Dogg Arizona Bowl presented by Gin and Juice. I think that has got to be.

Speaker 2:

That's got to be. Yeah, the Gin and Juice blue bee Wow crazy.

Speaker 1:

Crazy. Allstate Memorial Bowl Allstate Memorial. For the insurance company to do a Memorial Bowl is crazy because it just feels like you're taking advantage of you know people. Potentially they have a bowl though.

Speaker 2:

Nah, I'm going to go fake. I say that's fake.

Speaker 1:

Yes, sports Clips Perfect Cut Bowl. That sounds real. I want to go real with that. Sports clips, is it? Uh, that's a, that's a or no? That's what's the? Uh, the barbershop, super, super cuts. Yeah, I think that's real. Oh, I don't think that's real let's go trans. Perfect music city, bowl real, god, no, no.

Speaker 2:

Second guessing myself is the ball game in that? Where's that game at a national hands per?

Speaker 1:

I say that's fake, trans perfect, wow see now he's all over all of this.

Speaker 2:

Dukes, dukes, mayo Bowl.

Speaker 1:

Real Dukes Mayo? I haven't even heard of Dukes Mayo. I don't think they're real.

Speaker 2:

Charlotte man.

Speaker 1:

Okay, moving on. So there was a crazy stat line that came through on Instagram and it was a former teammate of mine, tyreek Hill. So he has four receiving touchdowns this year and has become a father to five children, so he's fathered more children than he has scored touchdowns this season. The first comment to that is like damn damn, we got to get Tyreek the ball more, man, we got to get this guy an end zone For sure.

Speaker 2:

He's going to have more than four touchdowns for sure. Hey, we got to get him the ball. Go on, man. We got to get my man's drop.

Speaker 1:

Oh, we got to get this guy an end zone too. Shit.

Speaker 2:

They got to tell time with quarterbacks though. My boy Tua T back, my boy Tua T back now. Man, it's a little shaky there for a minute. So what's your second comment to this?

Speaker 1:

I'm interested my second comment is just like man bro's been in Miami shooting up the club, hey, more life man he been in the club letting it. Huh, crazy man. Kiki on the river, he doing a lot. Kiki in on the river, kiki in somewhere, he is. Kiki Was it? Tootsie Was somebody? He is too man. He and Tootsie's letting it go.

Speaker 2:

Shout out to him and his family man you know what I'm saying All his situations of whatever he got going on, bless him, bless him and them. Just get my mans the ball more, man, get my mans to ball more.

Speaker 1:

Can we talk about just like the concept of like having as many children as you possibly can. Maybe that's what he's trying to do. Maybe this is like I'm trying to populate the earth, you know, with more little Tyrekes. I guess the only enforcement there's some folks that be on that. That's why they donate sperm. There's some, like I heard, some rich people that just like donate a bunch of sperm just to like propagate themselves.

Speaker 2:

I just really more. So that's crazy. Yeah, what you just said. That's crazy that they do that, that I didn't even know how to respond bro, I've heard that's a thing.

Speaker 2:

But what I do know is that you're like, if you, I mean if his wife's cool with it, I guess it's straight. You know, I don't know why we should be judging. It doesn't matter to us If his wife and the mother of those other children are cool with it, it don't matter to me. Do what you want. You know what I'm saying. I think that would be the only like disrespectful part of it is like, yeah, he's got a wife and you know obviously math, the way math works. You can't have five kids in a year as one singular person. To have them all For real, for real One time.

Speaker 1:

Because that didn't happen, bro. This was the order of. Was the order of thoughts? Damn, four touchdowns, that's it. That was number one. Then number two was like is he doing this on purpose? Is he trying to propagate himself? And then the third was like god damn, he's going to owe a lot of money. That was the three.

Speaker 2:

For me it seems that way. You know, it's just hopefully like most of those kids close, Because, like my thing is you know me being a dad, I co-parent and I get to see my son as often as I can and I get to see him a lot.

Speaker 2:

But I couldn't imagine having to work that schedule with six, seven different people Eight, right, right, right, you know what I mean and still have a wife and have my own family in that regard over there. It's just a lot of moving parts. But you know, bro, if he can handle it and he can figure it out and everybody's happy, that's all that really matters. You know shit, I would be stressed the fuck out, let me tell you, stress not even worth it. Let me be beyond stressed Shit. He's a little bit more well off than I am. I think he's got to be stretched a little bit further than I am as well. So you know, some people built for that, not me, not me. I wonder what the window.

Speaker 1:

I wonder what the window of the, the birth, the birth of the births of the children, and what the window of of it is Like if they're all in like their birthdays, they're all in like one month within one month. He just had like a crazy month. You know, like nine months ago I got to get started, man. Y'all are running away with it. Man, I'm not too far behind. I don't know if there's any catch-up time. Yeah, I don't know if you're catching that guy.

Speaker 2:

I'm in near sight. There's only one more man. Yeah, you can go from zero to one real quick Zero to 11, there's some stops you've got to make in the way there that you are now consciously doing.

Speaker 1:

Right, right, right Like you said it's got to be on purpose.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, it's got to be on purpose. He's doing this on purpose, right.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, he wants to have more Tyrekes in the world. Yeah, you can't.

Speaker 2:

You don't have 11 kids. It makes sense. You don't have 11 kids on accident. It doesn't work that way.

Speaker 1:

He's trying to field his own squad. He's got 11. Perfect, you know, you got a whole offense there.

Speaker 2:

That's a lot of colleges to make you pay for, but the percentages of you having kids they're going to take care of you with 11 as you get old. Paying for college?

Speaker 1:

Tyreek Hill's kids ain't paying for no college. What are you talking about? They're going to be so fast. He's getting all of them. They're going on scholarships Every last one.

Speaker 2:

That would be amazing. I can't wait to see. We'll see. I can't wait. That would be amazing. If every kid goes to the scholarship, he's got 11. It's 11 of them.

Speaker 1:

Let me tell you this 11 is a lot. 11 is a lot. Hear me out, hear me out. That's like hitting 11 on 11 on a par, you might not get it. Hey, that's like going 11 for 11 on a pick-em. Huh it's crazy. Oh shit, he's going to have a great percentage. I would say his hit rate is at least as good as my success rate on last year's theme song game.

Speaker 2:

So where'd you go? Four or five, you think he's got an. So where'd you go? Four or five, you think he's got an 80% success rate. Right, so 80%, I think he hits for at least nine Eight is the one one double A, one double A, and then the other two. Just yeah, all stop the other two just Probably, or something.

Speaker 1:

Bro, and even for the girls, by that time flag football's taken off, I think we're talking D1 flag football scholarships for girls. Those Hill kids, they gonna get there. I've seen it up close and personal. I've seen this man run some routes. Hey man, yeah, tyreek, he just had, he's, he got, he's having five kids this year. Boom, those five kids in the next five years, looking by like 2030, ain't going to be in school. They're going to be in school. They're going to be susceptible to bullying. There's been a trend going across social media that we should bring back bullying or bring back shame, and this comes from people feeling too comfortable on the internet, and whether that's coming in the form of saying or doing crazy things to elicit reactions, or people filming everything they do and posting it for fans, there's some folks out there that feel like we need public shame to come back in a way that people like are. I don't even know how to explain it. How would you explain it to each?

Speaker 2:

this trend, bring back bullying and more people just need to get punched in the face. Honestly, you just need to shut the fuck up, right, because you know I'm I'm one of those people who was raised on every conversation not your conversation and sometimes it's okay not to have nothing to say Right, wrong and different, and also there's going to be a bunch of ands here. I'm just going to add these things on. I've also been raised that your words have consequences. So if you do decide to go out there saying something crazy and someone does decide to punch you in the face, they're not going to hold their burden. They did what they wanted to do because you did, in terms, what you wanted to do, and I think that that is like a big thing in the world nowadays. Like people don't consider the next person or the next person. They just do things without consideration because of freedom of speech or freedom of this freedom of that.

Speaker 2:

I'm not necessarily saying people should be bullied. I just think that everybody should understand the consequences of what actions their words have and that's to everybody. You shouldn't go out there disrespecting people if you don't feel that someone should be able to Like I'm not. You shouldn't go out there disrespecting people if you don't feel that Someone should be able to disrespect you in their way back, because when you went out there and said those things, you use what your power was, which was your vocabulary, and someone else's power may be their fist or someone else's power Maybe they're literally their power to get you off of your job or fired or this and the third, and then you think it's taking too far because that person is soft. No, you're pushing People. Go around pushing buttons, buttons, buttons, buttons, buttons on folks nowadays and they don't know what doors those are going to open, instead of just like living life to be nice. People are mean. People are mean and they've found other ways to be mean through the internet and I think there should be more consequences for it. I mean they try to cancel anybody who goes against anything that certain groups or whatever it happened goes on, but you don't cancel people who you feel get to speak their mind freely.

Speaker 2:

I hate Twitter now. I really hate it. Twitter is the worst app that I have on my phone. I have it, whatever, to look up information, but this, literally this, since Elon Musk has brought Twitter the opinions it was already bad the opinions and voices in people's hands. Now it's not even about it being where it is politically or whatever. People just say stupid shit on there. They just say stupid shit Like it's just like. All the time you can't get a serious response. So it's like people just fucking with people just for the sake of fucking with people, and it's so often that it's like if you're not mentally strong enough to ignore it, I see how so many people crash out and then people get mad at them about crashing out and it's like whatever. It's stupid, it's crazy. But yeah, I do think that if there were a lot more people getting punched in their mouth for shit they were saying and doing, they'd stop doing a lot of shit they were saying and doing what we need is it's more of a culture of accountability.

Speaker 1:

What you're saying is that folks out here are taking actions, saying things, and they're not afraid of the consequences because the consequences have gotten solved or there are none, because you can be online and you can say whatever you want to say, treat people however you want to treat them, and you can log off and get off your app, get off off the platform.

Speaker 2:

There's no consequence, at least on the surface yeah, I also don't think there's a safe way to do it, because you can't give that kind of controls to the government like I mean that that's the case. You're in communism, so there's no like there's no real safe way to do it. Again, I just think that what happens is what literally happens in the world. People do shit and they push buttons and they fuck with people and then whatever those people react and then people who are pushing buttons and fucking with those people on the other side get up in arms about how those people reacted. And I don't think that's fair. I don't think you get to throw a cat, throw a stone. I don't think you get to tell people how they react to things.

Speaker 2:

That's why I always try to people you respect and if I ever have disrespected someone or been in that situation, I've been ready for whatever consequences come with it and I've always made sure I didn't take it far enough where I felt like the consequences would be that big, like if we get in a fist fight, we get in an argument, whatever, and that's what it is. I didn't think I've ever taken it far enough to where it would warrant someone truly wanting to hurt me. But people do do that all the time. People do it all the time. They do it on purpose. That's the thing that's crazy to me. Like do it on purpose, so it's like you know it's what it is, it's just going to keep happening. I don't think much is going to change, brother.

Speaker 1:

I think it's important for people to connect with each other in real life. You know, I feel like that doesn't happen enough. I think that there's a lack of social interaction in our communities and in society. Interaction in our communities and in society. So when most of your interactions are digital, you actually don't see how people are responding to the things that you're saying, correct, and you're not truly able to listen. You say what you want, what you've got to say, then it sits in somebody's inbox or sits in somebody's comments or you know whatever, and then you out of there going to the next thing. So you actually are just busy saying, saying, saying.

Speaker 1:

You're not sticking around to listen to how people are responding and you click back in, you know later on whenever they respond. But it gets into this now in this trend, this habit of just speaking and not listening, right? So then I think that that creates a lack of empathy, so that you know you don't understand how people are feeling when you say certain things or when you treat them a certain type of way. And then also, when you're like out, you know in real world and talking to real people, when somebody says something to you and you feel a certain type of way, it's like you're right there. It's just that interaction. So now, all right, the next time you don't want another person to make you make, you don't want them to feel the way that you felt before. And the last interaction, you know golden rule treat others like you would want to be treated. Oh yeah, I think that's.

Speaker 2:

I think that's becoming increasingly difficult in our world, because we're more and more connected technologically but we're more disconnected physically than we've ever been people who didn't grow up playing a game of team sport or like in situations where you have to deal with a team or you have a family where you have to deal with this and a different person, like a whole bunch of them, don't understand. Like you said, not only do you treat others how you want to be treated, but also there are boundaries, there are things that don't need to be said. There are things, opinions that you can keep to yourself, that you can. Some people just don't got feel bro, but maybe you know, maybe they'll grow up.

Speaker 2:

I've been around plenty of people just would not that don't have feel that would hear something and jump in conversations that necessarily weren't their conversation, not always just be sitting there like hmm, this is very interesting because, like nobody was talking to you and so when you interject yourself, you're now subjecting yourself to whatever this person says. Now, like if they tell you to shut the fuck up, I wasn't talking to you, you have to take that on the chin because they were not. It's just funny, like it's just crazy.

Speaker 2:

But you know, like you said, like you said, people are. I just don't think some people have feel, I think I've been fortunate enough not only to be raised that way, but also, like I've been in a locker room, I've seen, I've seen not only seen men just talk, men talk, men talk about things, talk through things, whether there was controversy or whatever, but like I've seen people talk through things and I've seen people talk through things and I've always kind of you've always kind of felt the space of how you've seen people interact. You've seen when folks are getting rubbed the wrong way. You can clearly see those things and especially in our job or whatever, like you know in our field that you see it often and men are going to let you know immediately how they feel about something. Like hey, bro, don't do that shit.

Speaker 1:

Like how they feel about something like hey, bro, don't do that shit, like like that's. You know, it's shown, yeah, that that also can be different from team to team, right, because been on some teams where cats don't want to speak their mind in front of whoever they have an issue with. They want to go and have a little pity party right and talk behind people's back or talk about the coaches or complain, you know, but they're not willing to say it with the chest. And I think that's more of a culture thing, right, because you're in some places where, like, if you got something to say, say it. We respect your opinion, we'll hear you out and we'll respond how we think. And then other teams, you know, maybe they're behind closed doors. So I think it's a culture thing.

Speaker 1:

You see that even within teams, like within the NFL, which generally has a team culture and you're willing to listen and speak your mind, etc. But overall, now, as you zoom out and think of us humans as a culture, the country is just the world and how we're operating with each other, you know it's the same thing. That can be, you know, one way, or it can be a be another. And I think what you're saying from like being closer with a team who's I mean obviously in your team too is so successful. It seems like there's a culture, you know that you guys have, of honesty and accountability and being gritty, right, it's like the whole coach campbell thing that it's got cooking over there. It's a healthy culture, but that type of culture is really, you know, what we want to have with us all. Just, you know, fellow neighbors and human beings, right.

Speaker 2:

And you know what we do when we have disagreements or we get in arguments. We might punch each other in the face every now and then, and that's what happens this week 13,. We still out there might be banging. It was a punch in the face last week, 12-1. Ain't no confrontation. Yeah, it's not no confrontation. Temperature's flaring. People feel away, get it out. I'm not about to hold on to it. I'm not going to know that it's temperance flare. People feel a way, get it out. I'm not about to hold on to it. I'm not holding on to it all day. Hey, it is what it is. You know, it is what it is. It moves on. It's about 30 seconds and then we all move on. Everybody moves on to the next play. Line it up, we're good.

Speaker 1:

The hardest 30 seconds in a whole practice. Pop a little shit, come out that fight gassed. Yeah, man, it's all good.

Speaker 2:

It's all good, it's good for culture, it's good for football. Hey, that way we all know If you're willing to talk crazy, if you're willing to act crazy, at least you're willing to stand on it. Yeah, right At least you're willing to stand on it, yeah right.

Speaker 1:

At least you're willing to stand on it. That was good talk, man. I feel like we unpacked something important right there.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, that was good. Right there, man, that was good.

Speaker 1:

I think that was really good for the culture. Who you got next week, man, or this week?

Speaker 2:

We got the Bills Bills Josh Allen coming off being Bills, okayills Josh Allen coming off being Bills, okay. So hopefully, you know, we got to cool them off a little bit. Man, cool them off a little bit this week.

Speaker 1:

Hell yeah, let's go. So I'm excited In Detroit, in the D, in the D, bro crazy, it's Q4 of the season, man, I mean like it's closing fast, sir Crazy, does it feel like it's gone fast or slow? How do you feel about the tempo at which this season it went pretty quick.

Speaker 2:

It was good, though, man. Good year, just a good year, just fun. It was fun. So we just got more to go, still going. Hopefully we can go. You know eight, nine, nine more games longer, nine, ten, how many ever takes man? We can keep going.

Speaker 1:

Love to see it. We'll be. Yeah, we ain't got to talk about it, just love to see it, week by week. Man, just keep going. We just got to keep going, week by week.

Speaker 2:

We've already. We don't know what our season's going to be. Get that Buffalo. We got a ticket to the dance already. You know we've clinched playoffs technically, so you know we've got a chance. So now we're just ironing out the seedings. Got to keep going, keep going, keep going to be as high as possible. Man Playing for that bye now. Man, just got to keep going.

Speaker 1:

You remember Rack, Rack. You say all you got to do is get to dance, Just got to get to dance man, no matter how you get to the dance anything can happen.

Speaker 2:

We're trying to take the prettiest girl to the dance. On this time on our side you know what I'm saying From our school we're trying to take the prettiest girl. That's number one. We're trying to take the best looking.

Speaker 1:

We'll take any of them now that's a fact.

Speaker 2:

We're trying to take her Her, Be her. Come on man, yeah right.

Speaker 1:

It's been a hell of a catch up with you, bro. It's good to get back on here. It's been great, man, good to hear from you. All right, y'all Look at me, hell, until next time. Hey, another episode of the group chat Peace, peace, peace Peace.
